I used to crochet quite a bit and I’m thinking of getting back into it. It’s very soothing and peaceful. I think I will start with granny squares. So fun and colorful!
Check out this cute idea from Erica at Caught on a Whim. Love it!
I wish I could have handwritten this post! I have decided to work on improving my penmanship. It has gotten sloppy due to laziness and lack of practice. It’s a beautiful thing to write beautifully and it’s not all about content. I love pictures, and good penmanship is a beauty to behold.
Here’s a good article I found on handwriting: 8 Easy Tips to Improve Your Handwriting.
I just learned that National Penmanship Day takes place on my son’s birthday: January 23rd!
I just found artist Twinkie Chan and she is too cool! She is adorable and colorful and fun. I like how she has taken something like crocheting that may seem dated and antiquated and made it so upbeat and current. Her crocheting is not your Mama’s crocheting!
Twinkie Chan is a San Francisco based crochet designer who creates fun, food-themed accessories. Her unique work has been featured online, in print, on television, and in art shows. Her book, “Twinkie Chan’s Crochet Goodies for Fashion Foodies: 20 Yummy Treats To Wear” is available on Amazon. She also has an Etsy shop.
Twinkie’s latest project is her clothing and accessories line “Yummy You! by Twinkie Chan” which she launched to make her signature pieces more accessible and affordable. Good luck Twinkie!
